Super Junior Proved Their Popularity once Again by Winning 4 Prizes on ‘Yahoo! Asia Buzz Awards 2011’!
Super Junior won 4 prizes including ‘Asia Top Searched Group Artist’ and ‘Top Searched Group Artist’ in Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong and proved their tremendous popularity.
‘Yahoo! Asia Buzz Awards 2011,’ which marks the seventh anniversary for this year, is a prestigious event to announce a year’s trend in the entertainment field and award the top star based on search statistics. And also ‘Yahoo! Asia Buzz Awards 2011’ is co-hosted by Yahoo! Korea, Yahoo! Hong Kong and Yahoo! Taiwan and the winners for each category are decided based on the searching word list and vote.
Donghae and Siwon attended the awards and about 1,000 fans crowded when they arrived at the Chek Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong on the 20th.
In addition, Donghae and Siwon said “We are very pleased to receive this honorable award and although our visit in Hong Kong was short, we want to thank all of our fans who helped make a memorable and touching experience.”
Meanwhile, ‘Yahoo! Asia Buzz Awards 2011’ was broadcasted live through Yahoo! Hong Kong and is scheduled to be aired on Hong Kong TVB-Jade channel later on.

슈퍼주니어가 아시아 최다 검색어에 등극하며 2011년을 뜨겁게 달군 최고의 인기 그룹임을 다시 한번 입증했다.
슈퍼주니어는 지난 20일 오후 8시부터 홍콩 컨벤션 센터에서 열린 ‘2011 야후! 아시아 버즈 어워드’에서 올해 아시아 최다 검색 그룹에게 수여하는 ‘Asia Top Searched Group Artist’상을 비롯해 한국, 대만, 홍콩의 ‘Top Searched Group Artist’상까지 휩쓸며 4관왕을 수상해, 명실상부 아시아 슈퍼스타다운 뜨거운 인기를 실감케 했다.
올해로 7년째 이어지고 있는 ‘야후! 아시아 버즈 어워드’는 포털 사이트 야후! 검색 통계를 기반으로 1년간의 연예계 트렌드를 발표하고 최고의 스타를 시상하는 권위 있는 행사로, 한국과 홍콩, 대만 야후!가 공동 진행하는 시상식. 한 해 동안의 검색 순위 및 투표를 바탕으로 각 부문별 수상자가 결정된 만큼 아시아 네티즌의 관심도와 인기 척도를 엿볼 수 있다.
이날 시상식에는 슈퍼주니어를 대표해 멤버 동해와 시원이 직접 참석했으며, 20일 오후 홍콩 첵랍콕 공항을 통해 두 사람이 입국하자 현지 취재진들은 물론 1,000여명의 팬들이 한꺼번에 몰리면서 공항 일대가 아수라장으로 변할 만큼 대혼잡을 이뤄, 현지의 폭발적인 관심을 확인케 했다.
더불어 동해와 시원은 수상 직후 “이런 영광스러운 상을 받게 되어 기쁘고, 짧은 홍콩 방문이었지만 좋은 추억과 감동을 안고 돌아갈 수 있게 해주신 팬 여러분께 다시 한번 감사 드린다“라고 소감을 전하기도 했다.
한편, 슈퍼주니어가 참석한 이번 시상식은 야후! 홍콩을 통해 온라인 생중계 되었으며, 홍콩 TVB- Jade 채널에서도 추후 방송될 예정이다.
